We will play against two chess clubs in each country (France & Germany) while also visiting historic sites, playing sports at local parks, eating together and playing Risk at night!
Families can join for either one or both!!
France Itinerary: July 6th – July 14th
Saturday July 6th – Travel day. Everyone is responsible for arranging their own flights.
Sunday July 7th – Luxembourg Gardens chess/basketball/soccer/ping pong with Asnieres Chess Club chess players. Our players and Asnieres players will get to know each other at the park so that on Wednesday when we play a match, the students will know each other and have more fun. We will head to the Blitz Society for dinner and some chess that evening:
Monday July 8th – 1 Hour Chess Lesson at the hotel in the morning and then we travel to Omaha Beach, Normandy:
Tuesday July 9th – Chess lesson from 9am-10am at the hotel and then we travel to the Somme Museum:
Wednesday July 10th – Match vs Asnieres Chess Club in Asnieres (suburb of Paris):
Thursday July 11th – Chess Lesson from 9AM-10AM then Visit Versaille, France
Friday July 12th – Chess lesson at the hotel from 9am to 10am and then we will walk to the Musee de l’Armee Invalides
Saturday July 13th – Chess lesson in the morning followed by a Luxembourg Gardens Day with the Asnieres Chess Team
Sunday July 14th – Travel Day (we will take a train from Paris to Munich)
